When you find silver, that's when! lol Unfortunately, I had a flat tire yesterday and had an hour and a half to wait for AAA. While I still had some daylight left I went into some woods next to a creek where I was stranded. It's an open space area in the town I was in.
I was only beeping for about 20 minutes when I hit a nice 77-78 on the T2. Out pops a VERY tiny coin, or at least what I was hoping was a coin. I've been fooled before only ending up with a button or junk. Anyway, it was totally covered in dirt and I didn't want to start rubbing it, so I plopped it into my coin water bottle and went back to my car.
With most of the dirt off I was surprised to see that it was a Canadian coin, 5 cents to be exact, from 1880!! <: Man, that was nice to see. I looked it up online and they used to call them fish scales because of their size I guess.
Thanks for looking and happy hunting!! :groovy:
