I didn't think I was going hunting today because we were heading north to visit
our daughter's great-great-grandma. As we were getting ready to pull out of the drive way, Dana
asked, Aren't you bringing your detector?. :happydance01:
After enjoying a nice breakfast with everyone... off I went in search of some keepers.
Went from half dollars (http://www.americandetectorist.com/forum/index.php?topic=11843.0) to a half dime in one hunt!!

Also grabbed a couple of very nicely detailed IH's and one Merc a few grades lower. lol

I know! Everybody's finding them except me. crying01 lol
That's an incredible find, Joe! Such a beautiful coin, I love the slanted 5s.
That 1900 Indian Head is a stunner too! Razor-sharp detail on that one!
Congrats on the Mercury Dime too, which I'm sure is a 1916-D! thumbsup01
:congrats:

Excellent finds! I noticed your arrows are MUCH larger than the arrows on my 1853 half dime. Any idea why that is? I think I read somewhere that the arrows were placed in 1853 to show the amount of silver in the coin was decreased. Did they change again in 1855? Thanks for sharing and HH, Dave.

As Strange as it seems, I've never found one . The only thing seated I have is pictures of me sitting down taking a break. rofl
I have a 3 cent, many 2 centers, Barbers etc. but no Seated coins at all. That's a long losing streak, 5 years anyway.
:congrats: Nice find! IH's are always nice also to find.
Wow, that is one nice looking half dime. :congrats:
