Got out this am with Drew and Merc for a bit. We hit a coule holes but didn't have much luck then deicded to hit a field nearby. Targets were few and far between but it was an older area so we kept at it. Ended up getting a 38-39 on the Safari at about 6 inches down. Called the guys over to check the signals then started to dig and out popped copper number 50 on the year an 1807 Draped Bust in pretty good shape other than where the date is. (First three digits were as clear as day the last one was a bit of a challenge) Other than that didnt find much hit parts of a couple shoe buckles and the usual shotgun shells and scrap brass. It was a great time out and I'm so glad to get number 50 behind me. Thanks for looking and happy hunting.

Merc was telling me how you didn't want to go to that specific town as it was kinda far. We didn't intend to go there...we were going to check that field and back track to another site....but we had a laugh thinking of your response when we crossed the town line. lol. I'm glad it turned out to be worth it for ya. Wasn't that first site beautiful? Too bad it was picked clean.
Great job as always and I'll join you after 4 more. |:cheering:

It wasn't that much further........what I meant when I said I didn't want to go there was that the south side of the town seems so far. It was funny I saw the town sign and I laughed as I was driving. Really hope you hit your 50th soon. Glad you guys could be there again for number 50.
