Ron and I were finally able to put together a hunt with forum member dalewestaby. :clapping: Thanks for driving the distance
to join us.
In October I researched a park in Wisconsin that looked to have some potential for 1930's and newer coins. With six full hours of search time today, I invited Dale to give it a try with us. Surprisingly some targets came up for Ron and Dale that predated the park. :happydance01:
Ron pulled an 186? bullet shot Two Cent piece along with a couple of silver dimes.
Dale had a good day as well... but I'll let him share the news.
The highlight of my day was when I searched tightly around a young tree. Picked up a shallow high tone, right next to the base and wedged in between some exposed roots. Not enough room to pinpoint with my big coil, so I used the X-1 probe to pinpoint and cut a shallow plug revealing two big silver edges. I pulled the first WLH out and called Dale over to see the other one still in the hole.
At the end of the day, I had a couple WLH's, two dimes, bus token and a sterling stamped ring.
