Well, we all knew it would happen sooner or later. This park couldn't continue to give up stellar finds forever. Today I hunted it for a solid six hours and the finds were somewhat sparse and not all that exciting.

I'm sure there are more good coins there, and I'm not ready to give up on it quite yet, but it's starting to show the effects of being hunted so much. Today was the eighth time I've hunted there.

My finds today consisted of 1 Indian Head, 11 Wheat Cents, 1 Buffalo Nickel, 2 older Jefferson Nickels, a silver plated ring, a small Masonic pin, and some clad.

I usually find more Indian Heads than wheat cents at this park, not today.

A lone Indian Head, this makes 32 of them out of this park.

The Shield Nickels and V Nickels were hiding from me today.

I found the Buffalo right before I quit, about ten feet from my car.

Small Masonic pin.

Hey, if we hit a home run every time out then we wouldn't appreciate the bunt singles. lol

Thanks for looking and happy hunting! :beerbuddy:

Even though the shiny coins eluded you today, I would say it was a nice outing and six hours well spent!

I'll send you my address and when you get crap like that you can send it to me and i'll throw it away for you. :hysterical:
Just finding a buff is a good hunt for me. Sometimes we eat the bear....
My last hunt got me two 1940's wheats. In cold weather that's pretty bad.
So congrats on a GREAT hunt.

I'd say you had a fantastic hunt there Tony thumbsup01 you know there's gotta be more silver there! You made some really nice finds there I think, that place is far from being hunted out (if there is such a thing).

I went back to Two-Cent Park on Sunday, albeit for a shorter hunt. (About 3 hours.) It's almost unbelievable how the finds have dried up so suddenly. I guess I have been hunting the park harder than I realized.

Only one wheat cent, some clad, and a sterling silver bracelet that saved me from the SDHOS.

Time to start looking for greener pastures to hunt, I'm afraid. :-\

This park has been a super honey hole for me, and maybe I will try it again in the spring.

Hopefully you have another spot queued up. It seems like you have no problems finding productive honey holes!

Have you ever considered buying a smaller coil? I've been reading about the x-5 lately...you wonder if something like this could re-open your old spots for business?

Still some nice finds in my book Tony. Would be proud to have found them. I know there is more there. Give it a break and go back later. Congrats!
