Hi All,
Met up with a buddy of mine who lives in Rhinebeck,NY .He got permission from a friend of his to hunt a old active homesite. It was a slow day for the most part with a few wheaties mixed in.Then got a signal, dug it up and a aluminum coin comes out of the ground.I just threw it in my pouch thinking it was a childs play money from a game or something. When I got hame and cleaned off the coin it had german writing on it.Looked it up on the internet and it appears to be a 50 pfenning dated 1921.Pretty neat coin and very light in weight .Apparently there are many german decendents in the area.
