Things were slow in the office this afternoon so I met up with Pokie73 and we hit a local park. The first hour was slow and I didn't get any good signals so I went to an area where I had found silver before and decided to work it in 1st gear. After about 5 minutes I got a nice high pitched signal at 7 inches. I flipped a 5 inch plug over and stuck my probe in the hole and it started to squeal. A 1935 Merc at 7 inches. Silver coin #80 for 2012! <: I then finished filling the hole back up and as I started to walk away I got a very solid sounding 12-12 at 4 inches. It didn't sound like a normal nickel (12-13) but I thought it could one be so I decided to dig. I flipped over the four inch plug and then I saw the gold! A lady's 10K gold ring! Only my third piece of gold jewelry this year. I also got 4 Wheaties in the same general area. Happy hunting to all! :beerbuddy:
