Swingin' in the rain

An overcast, light rain kind of day here on Long Island. I had to get out for a quickie to my favorite local park. 1st good signal was a deep iffy high tone. Pulled out a large copper thats pretty toasted. I doubt I'll be able to tell what it really is. A little while later I got the small flat button and then the war of 1812 button. To top it off I also ran into 2 woman who were walking their dogs and got permission to detect BOTH their properties and an adjacent barn. 1780s to 1880s old! :happydance01: Have a great weekend

great button Steve , its a Militia Artillery corps button and was used from 1814-1821 and does classify as a war of 1812 era button .sweet relic :smitten: :smitten:

The ring I found a week or 2 ago. Made my heart skip a beat when I dug it out of the front field of an old school... but its plated.

Yes Joe its silver. Another Canadian quarter from the same field I found the others. Funny how all I got from this place was 6 Canadian silver quarters.
