This morning Ron and I got out for some park hunting. Felt like fall weather has finally arrived. :smitten:
It is so much more enjoyable hunting in these temps than the sweat box weather we had all summer.

Got over two silvers this morning, first the Rosie then the surprise quarter . It was in circulation for quite a while.

The front says, &quot:beerbuddy:orn With The Republic.

Looks like the Pepper generations went like this... Elijah - Oscar - James.

At the age of 16 when his father died, James assumed management of his father's &quot:daydream:ld Crow'' distillery for several years. In 1870 he went to New York to engage in the wholesale liquor trade. He returned to Kentucky about 1878, after selling his father's distillery. On his return, he purchased 48 acres and the structure of the Blue Grass Pork House at the site of a deep spring where he built his distillery. In 1882 annual production was 11,000 barrels of sour mash whiskey.

Oh my! :wow:

LOVE that seated quarter, Joe! :smitten:

Nice, even wear. If only it could talk! Just think of all the hands it passed through. I'm still looking for my first seated quarter. It always makes me smile when I see one posted on the forum. I bet it made you smile too!

I also really like that triangle-shaped token! I've never seen one shaped like that before. Very interesting!

Congrats on the terrific day!
