Another silver from the gun club

Well after this hot summer we have had I couldn't wait anymore---- I had to go out detecting. I have been out maybe 3 times since June 1st. ( Just too hot and humid)

Taking the F5 out to the gun club area( presently a city park) and gridding out an area, I dug some clad that had been there awhile, a 41 wheat, a 06 IH and then dug up my oldest silver coin EVER !!!! :shocked03: :shocked03: :shocked03: :shocked03:

There have been quite a few guys searching the same park, since May-- I guess they are NOT digging up the trash :dontknow:-- these old coins are in between close trash signals.

I'm glad they aren't digging them !!! :happydance01:

Been a rough season here too. The temp finally broke today in Iowa... but still drought-dry conditions for the soil. crying01

You got the benefits of digging what the other (lazy) detectorists didn't. :congrats: on such a nice early dime, any mint mark? I think that most of our members will agree with you about the weather. Glad you able to get out
