Got out yesterday with Marinedad for a couple of hours. Wasn't having much luck so I decided to focus on a twenty square foot area that we had pulled silver out of before but this time I would work it super slowly. First good hit was a jumpy 12-40, 12-41 so I decided to dig. At eight inches was a nice 1912 Wheatie. :happydance01: A few feet away from that I got a 1944 Wheatie at 6 inches. :happydance01: Then about 15 minutes later I hit a 1929-D Wheatie at 5 inches. :happydance01: Then it happened! :omg: I got a jumpy high pitched 12-43, 12-45, 12-44 and the depth was showing at 10 inches. Nothing much was happening until I got down to 8 inches and then the probe started to squeal like a baby pig. I took another inch or so out of the bottom of the hole and then I saw her. A shiny 1934-D Merc laying flat on her back. Silver #73 for 2012! <: I love this hobby. Happy hunting to all! :beerbuddy:
