We’ve had some nice weather in NE this week and it was a joy to get outside. I was lucky to have had a 3 hr hunt with Merc, an hour solo hunt, and a 3 hr hunt with 401k. The best company was the middle hunt lol :poke:
We hunted cellar holes, woods, and farm fields.
The recoveries-
1930 dog tag, with pic of Merc's dog on it.
1913 wheat
2 thimbles, one is an advert for rose butter.
1864 large letter 2 Cent Piece, chain holes.
Complete Shoe Buckle.
1953 Rosie
Jack knife
And a bunch of other stuff.
Thanks for looking, and a big thanks to 401k for sharing some of his spots |:cheering: ...and Merc for just being you

wow Drew some great finds , the show buckle is an old one plus it looks like its been repaired ( a round chape on a square frame , its a classic repair job) very sweet find :smitten: :smitten: like the customized 2 center too. |:cheering: |:cheering: you did well

Thanks Dan....you know...when we first looked at it we thought the chape and frame didn't look like they matched. The chape looks slightly too big and of a different fashion. I guessed it to be around 1760ish....ish...ish or maybe older. :thinkingabout:

ot looks earlier than 1760's to me Drew , it screams atleast 1740's with the very slim , very plain square frame and your right its on the large size for the frame . hey great silver thimble , first one ??

Very cool...1740s. No, not first silver thimble, found a sweet monogrammed one a few months back....and I don't know what the advertisement thimble is made of. It looks silver but it seems too soft. It has a rose butter company on it. I wouldn't guess they were giving out silver thimbles as adverts.

NICE FINDS DREW! I enjoyed hunting with ya again as long as you stayed out of site! The buckle is nice even being miss-matched. That's what I was saying about it not being original pieces. That's Yankee ingenuity. A bunch of awesome finds Drew!

That is one sweet looking buckle |:cheering:. Great bunch of keepers thumbsup01. How did that rosie get thrown in the mix:huh:
