Sidewalk Tearout Finds

Well, a street project I hit quite a bit in July has moved over to the other half of the street now, which means more dirt to hit for me.

First trip out there was mixed. I made some OK finds but I quickly realized that the dirt on this side of the street is not nearly as old as on the other side. Oh well, that did not stop me, so here are the finds.

1903 IH; 1910, 1920D, 1025, 1932D Wheats; 1949 Jefferson. The Ford key I thought was a cool find.

That is a cool key and :congrats: on your IH and wheats. Those are some early wheats, you sure about the dirt not being as old?

|:cheering: Hey nice finds. I have a question, were most of the finds close to the surface or did you have to dig that deep. Also, How did you gain permission ? Who do you have to ask? There is a street that's being Re-done near my home and I need how to approach the situation. When I drove by it was blocked off with a Policeman at one end. It's a very old street and I'd hate to lose the window of opportunity.
If anyone else has had experience with streets/ sidewalks, please share your advice please.

The Ford key looks to be from a Model A. Definitely a nice find. thumbsup01
