Some of the oddball things we dig make the hobby more interesting. Today I dug 37 coins, none old. But I did get these two uusual items. The token says Doctor Drake's cough syrup. Both sides have a lot of wording.

The copper plated item on the right appears to be a lid/cap for a knife or whatever. It has dragons all over it, fairly heavy. Steve in so az

Just found it on the net - comes with a 1951 penny in it. I'll put one in. Steve

Both items are cool looking. I guess that was a lucky penny token. Odd looking copper piece for sure. I agree that detecting is not all about coins. The other items are so interesting and keep us from being bored just digging the same old change lol
