Decided to try cleaning the Vermont Copper coin I found over the weekend. It took a few hours, but I think it came out nicely. I followed Dan's advise from the "cleaning Coins" section. I was nervous as hell having to stop every 5 - 10 minutes and walk away as my hand was shaking. I also printed out a large copy of a clean coin so I could pay attention to where the details were at.

That looks good. Sometimes I clean my coins and sometimes I leave as is. Occasionally a bit of dirt helps high light some of the details too.

It looks great, Scott! I would be very pleased with those results. Did you clean the other side?

The Vermont looks so much better Scott !:notworthy: Not use to doing it can be pretty intimidating and that's what I usually tell new people , sometimes just set the coin aside until you have practiced on toasted coins and gained some confidence to clean it . I'm glad the coin tips helped you out , unfortunately with old coppers one side takes more damage from the elements . Great coin and cleaning results !:perfect10:

Very nice results Scott! I get nervous as well with old coppers. Nearly ruined a few older ones I've found so now I take it really slow, using mainly a toothpick.
