I hit a corn field this morning for a few hours and took home three wheats 33,41,5? and a Chinese cash coin https://ci5.googleusercontent.com/proxy/Z9GxISXOM_5xKbGwxe2J3PV4BHVsN_Xw1whS4FueEEWVVdLEpG JpRaGpSpYOJJPOpI0dqdYk_BWd-ZZJg6IlDq_v-9sscmv4CW7KzcaSU3dvZAtXgS9QOQ1L9632l6GT3Z-W-eL-=s0-d-e1-ft#http://www.americandetectorist.com/forum/images/smilies/mysmilies/thumbsup01.gif
The cash coin is smaller than normal https://ci4.googleusercontent.com/proxy/Ls3RQWKhZvp2UyuMEqFgAsxyYvtGAoi5ANp_w4Qj1W0aO4v8_r PYh1Q1IKo8HZlqOH-2q4CCAVIASConul1Cb9DxiV50o86f6oRO8-qtP-RqHL8E3JVlCkjDgHygmus=s0-d-e1-ft#http://www.americandetectorist.com/forum/images/smilies/mysmilies/huh.gif ...but seems to be a Shan-Lung 1795-99 (as best as I can tell). The ground is fine until about 5in, then it is still frozen https://ci6.googleusercontent.com/proxy/zB5-Wk13-WwHgRamo3XoYyBLIcCa-8WYpLkIp1oXy97L4ZC_hMjXnMfMHFb2Og8kvyiLmDWSSzEQ6gc dHA2PN3wTGN741QWPaG-HH2dWSY7EvO0457WUI2xW_eLS-Q0=s0-d-e1-ft#http://www.americandetectorist.com/forum/images/smilies/mysmilies/sad.gif Thanks for looking everyone!

That's a really cool find, Drew! You're right, that one is unusually small. Most I've seen are about the size of a quarter.

Is there a website that helps to identify how old they are? I found two of them back in the 1980s but I've never made an attempt to date them.

Thanks, Dan! I should have thought to look there. I will try to identify my two coins when I get home tonight.

Nice hit on the Chinese coin Drew. I have one. Actually it was the first "copper" I ever found  I'll have to look it up tonight to see if I can beat your date. Hey maybe we should have an AD contest to see who has the oldest Chinese coin ?

Drew, nice hunting. Every Chinese coin I've seen posted is larger, wonder why yours is the size that it is.

Nice Chinese coin. I am still yet to pull one but that should come eventually. Glad to see you getting out

Trying to think. Didn't you find a few coins last hunting season where it's suspected they were brought over with early immigrants? Nice find tho. I got out this weekend but didn't have too much to show for it.

Thanks everyone!!
